Zoning Admin Public Hearing March 7, 2018(Parking Structure)

The Big Daddy Hotel Parking Structure was approved at the March 7, 2018 Zoning Admin public hearing

Below is the transcript and audio of the Planning Associate Chris Wong.Daddy Hotel project.

The Planner Chris Wong gave public testimony at the March 7, 2018 Zoning Administration hearing that the “Parking Structure is considered part of the proposed building therefore it is not an accessory structure so it is not subject to the accessory structure standards.”

“One of the comments was a parking structure…It is subject to the standards of an accessory structure in the Sunset Beach Specific Plan area which includes limitations on height as well as minimum 3 ft set back.   The parking structure is considered part of the proposed building and not considered a separate structure from the hotel therefore it is not an accessory structure so it is not subject to the accessory structure standards.”

My Comment: Chris was right. The parking standard are not defined by the accessory structure standards they are defined in HBZSO code 231.18 Design Standards Section G. See Below.
